Faith formation

The Faith Formation Working Group is one of the five working groups of the St Patrick’s Cathedral Parish Pastoral Council. Their brief is to

“Make the Cathedral a place of education and learning”

“Increasingly the people of God hunger for greater knowledge of their faith and opportunities to develop their own gifts and talents for building up the Body of Christ”.

In line with this guideline the Faith Formation Group endeavours to implement an appropriate program of Faith Education to meet the needs of Parishioners of all ages. These include:

The study of Sacred Scripture
The teachings of the Church as contained in the Catechism of the Catholic Church
A focus on moral and ethical issues that confront the wider society.

Lenten Groups will be held throughout the Season of Lent in 2008.
